Bio Kate Bender received her MFA from Edinboro University in 1998. Since then, she has continued to work primarily in intaglio and monotype while volunteering at Edinboro University, and teaching printmaking as an adjunct instructor at Mercyhurst College, Thiel College, and Edinboro University. She has had numerous one-person shows and was awarded a Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation Grant in 2004.
