Bio:
A treasured and respected friend and artist of Egress Press, Rick sadly passed away on March 17, 2009 of Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the tender age of 31. A sound and installation artist (often working on a miniature scale), Rick also shared a passion for printmaking/ He was an MFA student at University of Illinois at Chicago. Before this, Rick was the Exhibitions Coordinator at the Regina Gauger Miller Gallery as well as the Instructor of Sound Art at Carnegie Mellon University
BRICKS is a non-profit organization in Pittsburgh, PA, that aims to connect Young Adult cancer patients to people and resources that may be useful to them as they undergo treatment and beyond. Bricks hopes to raise awareness about Young Adult cancers, and impact survival rates through education and activism. BRICKS was organized by Rick’s wife Charissa to brick by brick build a structure to support young adults in her community.
